Six months have passed since the terrifying battle with Charlie Pink-eye and the Motor City Hammer in the zombie-infested mountains of the Rot & Ruin. It’s also six months since Benny Imura and Nix Riley saw something in the air that changed their lives. Now, after months of rigorous training with Benny’s zombie-hunter brother Tom, Benny and Nix are ready to leave their home forever and search for a better future. Lilah the Lost Girl and Benny’s best friend Lou Chong are going with them.

Sounds easy. Sounds wonderful. Except that everything that can go wrong does. Before they can even leave there is a shocking zombie attack in town. But as soon as they step into the Rot & Ruin they are pursued by the living dead, wild animals, insane murderers and the horrors of Gameland –where teenagers are forced to fight for their lives in the zombie pits. Worst of all…could the evil Charlie Pink-eye still be alive?

In the great Rot & Ruin everything wants to kill you. Everything…and not everyone in Benny’s small band of travelers will make it out alive.

PRAISE FOR DUST & DECAY

Last thing because i feel im writing too much lol is that your zombie card says you live in PA, as do i and wanted to say: Way to represent!! :D

MOVIE! MOVIE! MOVIE! This series literally is my favorite book series i have ever read! As long as they dont screw it up and you (john) work very closely with the production it will be the best movie ever. i cannot wait to read the third and to see how the aftermath of Dust and Decay plays out.

when is the next book coming after dust and decay

  • MsB

My middle school does daily silent sustained reading and has challenged our students to read 40 books this year. Rot and Ruin was the first book one of my eight graders read from start to finish. He then
told me I HAD to read it. Reluctantly I did so! Enjoyed it more than i thought and have just finished Dust and Decay. There’s now a long waiting list for both books in our school library.
    Thanks

  • Denise from Germany

I just finished Dust & Decay and now I can’t stop crying. I really, really loved it though.

  • Gromprey

Thank you for one of the best reading experiences of my life. Once i finished the book, i could wait to here about the sequal.

That’s odd. Most libraries in the country have it in hardcover and audio.

  • Muse Laura_ani_chan

dust and decay is already out right? Any idea where i can find it? None of my local libraries have it.

  • B Munchausen

    Yes, WHY?????

  • Brittanyfernandez31

I love these books. I’m a senior in college and I openly sobbed while I was reading the ending of Dust and Decay in the lobby of the business building. WHY?

  • ToniKay21

My Husband and I loved your books, Rot and Ruin, Dust and Decay. He couldnt stop talking about your books so then i had to read them. He even named one of his xbox gamertags….. closure artist and the description was in dedication to Tom Imura. He has calmed down alot since then but just wanted you to know that you are a great writing from what we read. The story line was great and we cant wait until the third one comes out :)

  • Zombieslayer

Is there going to be a third book in the series?

Not always. The Harry Potter movies were great; as are the Lord of the Rings adaptations. And based on the trailer for the Hunger Games, that looks like a faithful and exciting film version.
